Latest NSL Transactions: Mohamed El Shorbagy Traded and More

January 23, 2026/in Uncategorized/by Michael Neff

The draft is over, matches are just around the corner, and teams are already making moves. Here are all of the transactions that have happened in the 2026 NSL season so far.

TRADE:

Crushers get:

David Bernet

Knights get:

Joe White

This trade occurred on draft night. Bernet and White were back-to-back draft picks, and both teams agreed on a mutually beneficial swap on account of availability for their matches.

WAIVER CLAIM:

Colts pick up Perry Malik, drop Nicholas Mueller

The Louisville Colts have signed Perry Malik to their squad, the current World #69. To open up the necessary roster spot, Louisville dropped Nicholas Mueller, likely due to availability issues. Not being able to keep Mueller is too bad for Louisville. They rightfully gambled on a talented player in the draft, but ultimately the best ability in the NSL is availability. Louisville clearly feels better about Malik providing that availability. Malik is someone who teams likely considered in the fifth and sixth rounds of the draft. He’s still an ascending player who has his best squash ahead of him. Malik projects to be an excellent depth piece for the Colts.

TRADE:

Knights get: Mohamed El Shorbagy

Colts get: Mohamed ElShirbini

El Shorbagy is on the move again, likely due to availability concerns on Louisville’s end. It seems like Louisville took the best ranking available approach in the draft and worried about availability after the draft. After these two moves, we’ll see whether they feel good about their roster or if there are more moves on the horizon.
