2026 NSL Draft Announcement
The 2026 NSL Draft is here! On Saturday, January 17th, 2026 the NSL franchise owners will come together at the Ahuja Medical Center in Cleveland, OH to decide their team rosters for the 2026 season.
Home of the Lake Erie Beacons Men’s and Women’s teams, Cleveland is a buzzing squash city. The Draft will take place alongside Squash in the Land, the silver level PSA event, which runs from the 13th – 18th, featuring top international talent. The Draft will cap off this exciting week of squash, falling on Semi-Finals day after the matches have concluded and the finalists of the tournament have been decided.
The 2026 Draft will be available to watch live on the National Squash League YouTube and HomeTeam Network at 8pm. Tickets will go live the first week of December.

Nick Matthew
Nationality: English
Born: July 25, 1980, Sheffield, England
Plays: Right-handed
Professional Career: 1998–2018
Height / Weight: 6’1″ / 178 lbs
Acquiring a new nickname after repeat performances in the 2024 and 2025 Legends match where, on both occasions, he sealed the victory for his team in the final seconds, THE CLOSER is poised for a big season in the NSL. He brings both intensity and experience to the court, a combination that is perfect for the complexities of the NSL team format, and a nightmare for any opposing team.
Nada Abbas
Nationality: Egyptian
Born: May 28, 2000, Giza, Egypt
Plays: Right-handed
Professional Career: 2015–present
Height / Weight: 4’11” / 110 lbs
At just 25, Nada Abbas has already made significant inroads on the PSA Tour. Her combination of speed, explosiveness, and mental resilience makes her a tricky opponent — she will be looking to leverage these skills to destabilize any team she faces this season.
Karim Abdel Gawad
Nationality: Egyptian
Born: August 30, 1991, Cairo, Egypt
Plays: Right-handed
Professional Career: 2007–present
Height / Weight: 5’11” / 160 lbs
With an innocent face, but a dangerous array of weapons, THE BABY FACED ASSASSIN has already shown that he is a deadly force on the PSA world tour. He is now looking to make his mark in the National Squash League. Any team who is looking for an attacking player to make big moves during power plays, Gawad is your guy!
Sivasangari Subramaniam
Nationality: Malaysian
Born: January 24, 1999, Sungai Petani, Kedah, Malaysia
Plays: Right-handed
Professional Career: 2017–present
Height / Weight: 5’4″ / 117 lbs
As a Cornell University graduate and leader of Malaysian squash, she is a role model for many across the entire globe. On court, she doesn’t rely purely on power, but uses her fluid movement and shot variety to unsettle opponents. She has an incredible calmness about her, even in high pressure moments, a quality that will help her keep her cool during the high stress of an NSL team match.
Omar Mosaad
Nationality: Egyptian
Born: April 20, 1988, Cairo, Egypt
Plays: Right-handed
Professional Career: 2005–2022
Height / Weight: 6’4″ / 188 lbs
Named for his cannon for a forehand, THE HAMMER OF THOR is about to send shockwaves through the NSL. Standing at 6’4″ he carries a big presence on the court that is difficult to maneuver around. His power, as well as experience after 20 years playing pro squash, is a force to be reckoned with and a great addition to any team looking to add an extra depth to their roster.
Torrie Malik
Nationality: English
Born: 2004
Plays: Right-handed
Professional Career: 2020–present
Height / Weight: 5’7″ / 132 lbs
One of England’s top young prospects, she has come through the tests of PSA Challenger tour and solidified herself at the top of the game. Her ferocious hitting and relentless attitude thrive during high-paced rallies. This intensity is just what any team needs to bring some fire to their lineup.
