He isn’t called the Grand Slammer for no good reason. Known for the power he possesses on both sides of the court, Scherl is a force to be reckoned with. Scherl was an extremely dominant college player, undefeated in his last 3 years at Harvard while capturing three-team National Championships and captaining the team his senior season. He also set the record for most individual wins in Harvard Men’s Squash history with a 58-3 overall record. Instead of playing the pro tour after graduating, Scherl decided to move to New York and get a real job but could have easily launched a career in standup comedy if he wanted to. He is easily the funniest guy at any dinner party.
While at Harvard was captain and won three team National Championships. Set program record for most individual wins in Harvard Men’s Squash history with a 58-3 overall record, going undefeated for last three years. He was a First-Team All-American and two-time First-Team All-Ivy selection.
